Our College is home to an ancient wisdom that still inspires young minds today. Sanskrit is not just a language of the past, but a current storehouse of wisdom and depth that is still as useful today.
Our college is dedicated to fostering a true appreciation for the learning of Sanskrit — whether that be grammar, literature, philosophy or one of the numerous traditions which inform our culture. We are of the opinion that Sanskrit is an intellectual discipline and teaching Sanskrit builds the mind, as well as personality and character by training the self to engross in a better life with thoughtful behavior.
We want our students to take pride in what they study and to feel that they have the skills necessary from engaging in their discipline to apply themselves meaningfully, whether as teachers, researchers, in cultural service or other professions. I see how, as well, we value humility and integrity and responsibility too.
I am very pleased to welcome students, parents, academics and well wishers into our academic family. Let us all join hands in upholding the tradition of learning Sanskrit and to forge the sense of continuity through which we can transmit this invaluable inheritance to our posterity.
